About this Item

This hands on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) Lego class is designed to teach students our unique "think, build, review" process. Learning by doing, children will gain confidence as they have fun and develop skills critical for success in further STEAM education opportunities.

•Students begin investigating and gaining a fundamental understanding of simple machines, structures, and mechanisms.
•Activities help reinforce key scientific principles such as: force, motion, energy, balance, momentum, and friction.
•Communication skills including: speaking, listening, and presentation capabilities.
•Collaboration skills enhance students’ ability to work in teams towards a common goal.
•Weekly summaries emailed to parents describing key concepts and projects built

*Volunteers help escort TK/K students when the bell rings to the Art Room. YMCA staff brings TK/K over to our class after they check-in.
