Skooltopia is a marketplace that connects buyers and sellers who are members of a school community and enables a contribution to the school when an item on the site is purchased. These buyers and sellers might include parents, teachers, family members and friends. Whether you need a math tutor, someone to organize a birthday party, apple pie, or a unique handcrafted gift we bet there is someone in your community that offers it. We also bet that you have talent, experience and skills that you can translate into your own Skooltopia business or you have an existing business that you could promote to your community through Skooltopia. Whether you are buying or selling or both, we want to make your experience fun and positive. In order to do this there are a few rules we need to go over. Please take a moment to review these Marketplace Rules.

The Golden Rule

Just as we tell our children "do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” In other words, please treat others with kindness and act in a respectful and responsible manner at all times.

Trust and Safety

Participating in the Skooltopia marketplace is real business. Just as you would in the real world, it is very important to use common sense and be respectful. Before you enter into a transaction, make sure you know what you are buying, who you are buying it from or who you are selling it to. That is common sense people.

All sales are final once you click “Pay”. This means that you should make sure you know what you are buying before you complete the transaction. Electronic communications with sellers should be initiated through the site by using the "Ask" button located on product and storefront pages. Understand any policies the seller has regarding returns or if you are unsatisfied with a product or service before you buy. Be aware that any agreement with the seller regarding returns or refunds is between you and the seller and will not include any donations or transaction fees that may have already been charged.

Before you deliver, wait for the buyer to press "Pay" and wait to receive an email from Skooltopia informing you that you have a new order and the payment has in fact been sent. Skooltopia does not permit links or urls to outside websites, emails or product information unless you are a paying affiliate. All sales initiated through the site must take place on the site unless you are one of our paying affiliates.
